In honor of the 60th Anniversary of the Shelby Mustang, we introduce to you Prototype #7 of the most powerful Shelby GT350 in history. This 810-horsepower sports car, was introduced almost 60 years to the day that Carroll Shelby revealed the first one (January 27, 1965).

The winner of this special prototype will be selected before the first production cars will deliver! You can be the coolest kid on the block!

We are extremely lucky to be able to offer this special car to one lucky winner, thank you to a wonderful relationship with Shelby American.

For this GT350 street version, Shelby American tuned and upgraded the car’s suspension, exhaust, styling and other elements for enhanced street driving experience. This 5.0L V8 powered street version Shelby GT350 fastback has a 6-speed manual transmission.

“The Shelby GT350 is back for 2025,” said Gary Patterson, President of Shelby American.

“Sixty years ago, the Shelby GT350 marked a new chapter in performance and motorsports history,” said Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American. “It was Shelby’s first model based on the Ford Mustang, the perfect follow-up to the ground-breaking Shelby Cobra. Shelby American poured its performance expertise into the 1965 Mustang, turning it into an iconic international sports car, as they did today.

“We increased horsepower by almost 70 percent, tuned the suspension, opened up the exhaust, smoothed the aerodynamics and gave it more sex appeal,” said Vince LaViolette, Vice President of Operations and Senior Designer at Shelby American. “The styling is based on functionality, giving the Shelby GT350 a purposeful look. However, the suspension is still supple enough to drive every day without sacrificing comfort.”

Shelby American built 562 Shelby GT350s (including 36 R models) in 1965, which is why production is limited to the same number for 2025. Production of street cars will begin in the second quarter of the year to be sold in the US through Shelby selected Ford dealers, and you have the chance to win THIS prototype!

“From the 60th anniversary badges to the aero package and Shelby spec wheels, the sports car visually reflects the modern spirit of the first Shelby GT350,” said Patterson. “Behind the wheel, it’s very apparent that this car is worthy of the iconic Shelby GT350 name.”

Each vehicle from Shelby American is documented in the official Shelby Registry. The Shelby GT350 comes with a 3 year/36,000-mile warranty; the powertrain warranty from Ford remains intact.

As a special bonus for the winner, we will also include a 2-person package to the 2025 Team Shelby Monterey VIP Experience from August 14th-17th, 2025 to continue to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the GT350.

Dedicated to Educating the Next Generation on the Accomplishments of Shelby American

In the 1960’s, the Shelby Cobra captured the heart and imagination of car racing enthusiasts. Carroll Shelby, the facilitator of the famous Shelby Cobra, GT40, Daytona Coupe and GT350, amongst others, campaigned cars from 1962 to 1968 at Shelby American in Southern California. These cars remain giants for their contributions to the evolution of the muscle car industry in this country.

It is the educating future generations and celebrating Shelby American's world dominance in sports car racing that is the linchpin of The Cobra Experience. In addition, you will be helping us to Drive Dreams Forward and expand and develop our programs to educate the public and the next generation of automotive enthusiasts about the legacy of Carroll Shelby and these great cars.

The Cobra Experience is a 25,000 SF museum located in Martinez, CA and showcases original Cobras, Shelby Mustangs, Daytona Coupes, GT40s, a King Cobra, Sunbeam Tigers and a Lotus. There are engine and wheel displays, posters, photos and a shop scene as it was at Shelby American in the 60s. Unique to the museum is a 40-seat surround sound theater which features an HD film about the cars and the Ford and Shelby American story.
