The very first Mustang RTR was released to the public in 2010, the same year that Dan Neve's "Cruise for a Cause" was founded. After 15 years, the decision was easy to colaberate in fighting cancer by building you one amazing vehicle. With your support you could possibly be it's lucky new owner. RTR Vehicles and VMP Performance along with Anderson Composites, Katzkins Leathers and Diode Dynamics have created one very special Mustang anyone would be proud to own.
In 2010, Dan Neve’s wife and mother were diagnosed with breast cancer just over one month apart. He knew that he needed to do something, so early in 2010 while his wife was going through surgerys, Dan purchased his next Mustang, a 2010 Shelby GT 500 and he decided to use it to help make a difference.
It was at that time that Cruise for a Cause and our 501c 3 non profit began.
Dan was asked to speak at a Susan G Komen event and was unsure about what to say. What came to mind was a girl that he had gone to school with who had polio. Dan mentioned how today he knew of no one with polio and the HOPE was that one day either our children or grandchildren can say the same about cancer. We knew individuals with cancer but today we know of no one!
Dan has traveled across the country attending automotive events asking for your support. With no paid employees, the goal is to raise as much awareness and funds to support cancer research as possible. At the end of 2024 Cruise for a Cause has donated 1.35 Million dollars in support of cancer research. Research is the key to beating this terrible disease which impacts far too many. With your support and entry - new treatments and therapeutics will help one day HOPEFULLY find a cure!.
